DESCRIPTION:The third Interactive Symposium on Research & Innovation for Connected and Automated Driving in Europe (EUCAD Symposium 2024) on 18-19 April 2024\, in conjunction with the TRA Conference in Dublin. \nThe Symposium is the continuation of previous EUCAD events\, the bi-annual EUCAD conferences as well as the EUCAD 2018 Symposium in Vienna and virtual EUCAD 2020 Symposium. \nComplementary to the Connected\, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (sub-)theme of TRA 2024\, the event aims to delve deeper into specific key topics and challenges for CCAM Research & Innovation and testing\, in Europe and beyond. \nThe Symposium is organised by the FAME initiative and supported by the European Commission Directorate General for Research & Innovation (RTD) as well as the CCAM Partnership. It is targeted at public and private stakeholders in road transport\, interested in exchanging views on immediate next steps and future actions required for connected and automated mobility. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn more about European Research & Innovation activities on CCAM. \nThe Symposium is targeted\, though not limited to\, automotive and telecom industries\, researchers\, user associations\, road and transport operators\, regulators\, public authorities\, representatives from the European institutions\, Member States inside and outside Europe. \nParticipation at the event is free of charge\, but registration is compulsory.

SUMMARY:SUNRISE at the P.E.A.R.S General Assembly
DESCRIPTION:On 22 November\, the P.E.A.R.S. (Prospective Effectiveness Assessment of Road Safety) activity will hold its General Assembly: SUNRISE will be presented by Jorge Lorente Mallada (Toyota Motor Europe). \nPEARS is a consortium active since 2012 and developing an ISO document for the prospective assessment of road traffic in vehicle active safety solutions based on virtual simulation. It is the initiative based on which the EU project V4SAFETY was established. \nAn ISO Technical Report has already been published\, and an ISO Technical Specification is currently under finalisation. Several SUNRISE partners are part of the PEARL activity and will present SUNRISE during the General Assembly: a great opportunity to expand our network.

In this workshop\, participants will then have the opportunity to provide their feedback through our Cooperation Platform (online forum for Expert Platform members)\, and discuss that feedback between all.
