SUMMARY:SUNRISE Webinar - Developing a Safety Assurance Framework for Connected and Automated Mobility Systems – State-of-the-Art\, gaps and requirements
DESCRIPTION:Safety assurance of automated vehicles is crucial for their successful adoption and deployment in society. Worldwide\, several initiatives have started to develop test and assessment methods for automated vehicles\, applying a scenario-based approach\, and combining both physical and virtual testing. However\, the lack of a common approach is leading to silo solutions\, hampering the large-scale and safe introduction of automated vehicles in our society. The SUNRISE project develops a harmonized and scalable Safety Assurance Framework that fulfills the needs of the different stakeholders involved in testing and safety assessment of automated vehicles\, from CCAM systems developers and Certifiers to Researchers and tool developers. \nTo achieve this goal\, SUNRISE will establish a European federated database centralising detailed scenarios for testing of CCAM functions and systems in a multitude of relevant test cases\, based on a virtual simulation environment with standardised\, open interfaces and quality-controlled data exchange. \nThis webinar will present the SUNRISE Safety Assurance Framework (SAF) development\, as well as the first related report which provides a comprehensive overview of existing safety assessment frameworks for CCAM systems\, their strengths and limitations\, as well as the identified requirements to be considered\, covering the needs of each stakeholder\, to support the development of SUNRISE SAF. \nAgenda:  \n\nWelcome & SUNRISE project introduction (John-Fredrik Grönvall\, CHALMERS)\nSUNRISE Safety Assurance Framework development (John-Fredrik Grönvall\, CHALMERS)\nOverview and gaps of existing safety assurance frameworks (Jordi Pont\, IDIADA)\nQ&A\n\n  \nRegister here!

The SUNRISE project will specify and demonstrate a harmonized and scalable Safety Assurance Framework that fulfils the needs of the different stakeholders involved in testing and safety validation of CCAM systems\, from developers and Certifiers to Researchers and tool developers.
