SUNRISE was one of the projects showcased at the ERTICO Stand during the ITS European Congress in Lisbon: consortium partners had the chance to explain the project’s goals and working plan to all interested parties. SUNRISE was also included in Special Interest Session 43 “Automated driving safety assurance – aligning methods, tools, databases”. It was a good opportunity to align with other partners on validation and type approval of automated vehicles by methods of virtual safety assurance (driven by real world data and scenarios).
Moreover, the project organised a workshop, “Strategic Liaison Roadmap 2023”, that allowed representatives of SUNRISE, VV Methods and SAKURA – three leading projects on CCAM safety assurance at international level – to establish a cooperation strategy and to understand that common knowledge shared among projects allows for their afterlife.
Collaboration is a means to achieve bigger results, and is to be preferred to competition.
