SUNRISE Safety Assurance Framework

Store

Input Scenario Create Format Store Environment Query & Concretise Allocate Execute Safety Argument Coverage Test Evaluate Safety Case Decide Audit

After scenarios are created and formatted, the next step is to Store them in a scenario database for downstream testing activities. This storage of scenarios takes place in external SCDBs, and is not covered in the scope of the SUNRISE project. Nevertheless, the Format block forms an integral part of the SUNRISE SAF.

The SUNRISE project did not create any scenarios or a database to store them in. Instead it created the SUNRISE Data Framework (DF). This is a federated database framework that serves as the central connectivity layer for accessing multiple scenario databases across Europe. Although the SUNRISE DF is not a mandatory part of the SUNRISE SAF, its application is highly recommended since it provides various benefits. See Data Framework page for further details.

SAF Application Guidelines for the Store block are combined with those of the Create and Format blocks, and can be found on the Scenario page.
